About Jerrod – Written by Ashley Ischy
I met Jerrod on the first big case that I worked on fresh out of law school. We represented opposing parties in the case. I saw his name on documents on a daily basis, but I had no idea who he was or what he was like. I expected what I had seen as a young attorney so far— loud, argumentative, and unfair.
I was wrong. At the first hearing that I attended for the case, I learned who Jerrod was and who Jerrod is. Jerrod was calm, soft-spoken, and honest. He wanted to get things right for the Judge and to be fair. His demeanor and character were a sharp contrast to what I’d been exposed to as a new attorney. That made a big impact on me. I knew from that day forward that Jerrod is the attorney I want to be and that he practices law the way I want to practice law.
On my second big case, low and behold, there was Jerrod again. I was excited to see Jerrod on the case, because I knew I could trust what he said, that he would be fair, and that he would do the right thing. This second case with Jerrod was not a coincidence. It led me to WA. It has given me the opportunity to see Jerrod’s honesty, fairness, and expertise in his work on a daily basis. I’m excited to be a part of WA, because I get to learn from the very attorney that I hope to become, Jerrod.
